We are excited to welcome you to the second Christchurch Expo of the New Zealand Underwriting Agencies Council (NZUAC). After the success of our inaugural South Island event in 2024, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the value of bringing together brokers, underwriting agencies, and industry partners in the South Island.
Event Theme: Navigating Soft Markets Together
The theme for this year’s event is “Navigating Soft Markets Together” – a timely and relevant focus as we head into 2025.
In recent months, we’ve seen significant changes in global geopolitical, economic, and insurance markets. These shifts – and the challenges they bring – will continue to impact our businesses, insurers, and most importantly, our clients.
In a soft market, we often experience lower premium rates, increased competition among insurers, broader coverage terms, and more relaxed underwriting standards. While soft markets can present opportunities for growth and client acquisition, they also demand that brokers and underwriting agencies remain strategic, adaptable, and focused on delivering value to their clients.
